I was so excited to finally be able to read this book! I've been waiting for the sequel ever since I read the first book in this series, over a year ago. After trying to be patient for months, I've been rewarded with an amazing sequel that didn't disappoint me at all. When I started reading this book, I had absolutely no idea what to expect. The first book didn't exactly end with a cliffhanger or something that indicated what the sequel could be about, so I was very curious. I didn't think that Skylar could possibly be even more awkward or embarrassing, but she was, which made this a cringe-worthy, yet relatable, novel. I'm a lot like her, which means that I found her anxiety annoying many times, mostly because I knew I would have done the same thing. Reading this series has definitely made me realize a lot about myself because of that, since I got to see some of my reactions from an exterior point of view. I thought that this was really well done by the author, so I would recommend this series to everyone who struggles with self-esteem and anxiety. Once again, I found myself really envious of Skye, Bridget and Ollie's friendship, even though it wasn't as present as in the first book. They truly understand and care about each other and it seems amazing to have such a close group of friends. These three are all amazing and complex characters that I love to read about, so I was really glad to read another book about them. Ollie and Skye's relationship is adorable, but also realistic, especially in this novel. I did get a bit annoyed at them around the middle/end part of the book, but that issue was quickly solved. I truly think that Bridget has a role in their relationship, even though that sounds a bit weird and creepy, considering that she's Ollie's brother. I think that their relationship is even more solid because of their past as a trio, which I'm glad about, since I love them so much. The plot of this sequel is quite complex since Skye put herself in such a messy situation, but I think that it worked. I wish that we could have seen a bit more of Bridget because she is a really interesting character, but I guess that we can't have everything. The ending is a bit cheesy, but I feel like it's like this for a reason. Also, I'm the last person on Earth who would complain about a cheesy romance story - they're my guilty pleasure! If you have read the first book in this series, I would DEFINITELY recommend its sequel. If you haven't read the first one, pick it up right now and you'll discover a cute, funny and awkward story that will make you swoon more than once.

SO. DAMN. CUTE. It think this might be my favourite Jane Austen novel, because it's pretty much the cutest thing I've ever read. I absolutely loved the story and the characters. All of them felt real and amazing to me, even with their mistakes and flaws. The love story is insanely good and it made me want to put both characters in front of each other and force them to kiss right from the beginning. I couldn't count how many times I got this fuzzy feeling when something cute happens because it's a slow progress and it keeps getting more and more adorable. I loved Anne's character (which I always seem to do, since my favourite book is Anne of Green Gables) because of how mature she is. She made a mistake in the past when she rejected Frederic because of her friends and family's disagreement, but she realizes and she knows she wouldn't do the same thing if she were in the same situation now. I loved how she regrets it, but she also knows that it was the right decision. It made her heartbreak even worse, because it was the right decision to make, even though it meant the end of her happiness. One thing I admired in this book was the loyalty. It's been years since Anne and Frederic were first engaged, yet there's something special between them after years of seperation that can't be unseen. It's the most loyal love that I have ever seen and it made me so happy and giddy to see them slowly get back on speaking terms. Once more, Jane Austen has written an amazing love story that kept me waiting for more. I would VERY highly recommend!

The Distance Between Us - Kasie West

If you're looking for a cute, short and light read, Kasie West has everything you could ask for.

In The Distance Between Us, money is a huge issue for Caymen. She's poor and she knows it, and for as long as she can remember, her mom has been talking badly about rich people, turning them into one big group of horrible people. But then, Caymen meets Xander, who's impossibly rich and nice. As they get closer, the reminder of their differences gets bigger and bigger, making her self-conscious and doubting.

I have to admit that I absolutely loved Xander's character. He's nice, caring and funny and I loved the way he handled Caymen's character. The chemistry between them is so adorable that I felt as if I was living my own love story, which is a great thing when it comes to romances (and a bad thing when the book ends and I realize that it was all fiction). Their relationship is light and relaxing and the little games they have add much to the story without being a huge part of the book.

There are many other characters in this novel, each one with a unique personality that made the story ever so interesting. Having read this after On The Fence, I was really excited to find out more about Skye's life, which I only discovered briefly but still loved. I also liked how every stereotype was destroyed in this novel, because I'm someone who's incredibly against them and I was happy to see them proved wrong.

Overall, this is a great story, not too light-hearted but still not too heavy. I am now positive that everything Kasie West writes is incredible and I can't wait to read more from her!

Are you looking for a super adorable romance that's going to get your expectations of love so high that it'll be impossible for you to have a relationship a tiny bit like that? If so, this is the book you should read. It's a quick, cute read and the love story is so perfect that it might be a little bit too much if you're not expecting a sickly cute book. It's not exactly a bad thing, but I do think that the ending was a bit too much like a "happily ever after" for a non-Disney story. I did love it, but I would have loved it a little bit more if it hadn't been that way. I still think Rainbow Rowell is incredible and that her characters are really interesting, so I want to read more from her!

Obsidian - Jennifer L. Armentrout

I LOVED this book! I had heard so many great things about this series that I was dying to start reading it as soon as possible. However, for some reason, I couldn't find it anywhere in Quebec. My library doesn't have a single book from Jennifer L. Armentrout ( even if I requested some) and everywhere I looked, it looked as if this series didn't even exist. After a very long time, I was finally able to start reading it, and even during an incredibly busy week, I read it in three days. I just loved everything about it and all I wanted to do was jump into my bed and read it in one sit.

The main character is very relatable for a book lover like me, because she's reviewing books (just like me) and she has a blog (just like me). We also have the same kind of personality and I was proud of her every time she snapped at Daemon. She really evolved through the book and I liked her even more at the end than at the beginning.

Daemon is basically the definition of sexy. Seriously. I don't need Fifty Shades of Grey, all I need is Daemon in this book. He's a jerk, yes, but there's so much more to his character and I was drooling over the descriptions of him. Can I purchase one somewhere? No? Dammit.

The storyline is really intriguing and it was hard to put the book down when I had to, because I all I wanted was to find out what would happen. I was not expecting any of this to happen, which I loved even more. Surprise me!

I would recommend this book to anyone. It has everything I could ask for, and I'll start the second book right now. Thank God I don't have to wait as long as I had to for the first one, because that would be the end of me. I'm already putting the rest of the series on my Christmas list (pleeeeeeeaaaase, Grandpa!) and I'm hoping it'll be as good as this one.

Girl Online (Girl Online #1) - Zoe Sugg

I'm a huge fan of Zoe, so I knew that I had to buy this book, for my love of books and of her. I wasn't disappointed at all. I didn't know what to expect, because Zoe is a Youtuber and a blogger, not a writer, but she wrote this book beautifully. I was close to tears at some points and the way the story was explained was simple, yet beautiful. I knew Zoe's writing style from her blog, but not in a story like this, and I think she managed to make this book a pretty good one.

As a blogger, I can relate to Penny, and to Zoe, obviously, because I write for the same reasons. Penny's clumsiness made me laugh and reminded me of my own, being an extremely shy teenage girl.

I loved this book, not only for the happy feeling it gave me, but also because I feel like I know Zoe a little better. I don't suffer from anxiety, so all I knew about it was what I heard in her videos and her blog posts. In this book, she explains how Penny feels when she's panicking, and it made me incredibly sad to realize that a lot of people feel this way.

Also, Zoe told a very important message in this book: that everything has some good in it, after all. She inspired me to fight my fears and to keep on writing, just because I love to do it. I love her even more for it, and I'm incredibly proud of her.
